A recent example of our specialist approach towards customers involved with the manufacture of medical equipment is the manufacture of powder coated sleeve inserts for a medical device. The tubes, which were about 3 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter had sprue’s at one end for fitting that required masking in order to ensure that they inserted properly. However, the sleeve itself also needed to insert into a slightly larger diameter opening with such a tolerance that any over coating or secondary coating would have made them to large to fit.
