Health and safety is an important consideration for us as a company. We manage health and safety from a number of levels including issues associated with manufacture, issues regarding material handling and general health and safety in a work environment. We also undertake provision for first aid in the work place.
The primary issues associated with our industry are the control of airborne powder and paint sprays and the protection of applicator and staff inhalation. For this purpose applicators wear appropriate breathing masks, filters and apparatus when working.
A further issue associated with powder coating and paint spray is the production of an explosive dust-air mixture. This issue requires movement of air and the stripping of particles from the air which is achieve by our water backed curtains. The water curtains which running during the application process also reduce the number of particles in the breathable air.
Material handling, either manually or with a lifting device such as a fork lift truck involves an inherent risk. All staff are fully trained for material handling within the factory whether that is safe lifting of heavy weights or the use of the fork lift truck.
All staff are trained in appropriate first aid processes in the work place and first aid stations, including eye-baths are located in the factory. The most important first aid considerations are inhalation, skin contact with undesirable industrial chemicals and eye contact with powders, paints and chemicals and ingestion of similar compounds.
All of these issues are addressed by our in-house fir aid procedures and training.
Other issues associated with our industrial processes include physical injury from falls, impacts and the like. As a company that employs staff and has members of the public, including customers on the facilities we take great care to minimise any risk and to take appropriate action in any unforeseen eventualities.
